About
Newbtech was created in March, 2009 as a way to record technology news and how-to’s especially around the area of online collaboration, cloud, storage and remote connectivity.
Currently we have a few authors and more planned. If you are interested in writing for this site, please contact me via dee@newbtech.com :)
My name is Dee and I’m the prime contributor to this website and my purpose for this site shifted (as always) during its initial launch to where it is now. It takes a bit of time to find one’s niche I guess.
About Dee
I am currently employed by Datacraft New Zealand Microsoft Practice as a Development Manager, managing a team in Auckland, New Zealand. My personal interests are many and varied. I was an avid World of Warcraft player but since gave up on that addiction last year. I live with my wife (Preeti) and 4 year old daughter (Diya).
I enjoy researching, browsing and developing. My interests are not limited to Microsoft products, rather, I enjoy all manner of technology across all operating systems. My main machine is tri-booting with Windows 7, Vista Ultimate and Ubuntu. The laptop has only Linux on it and my daughters Dell has Vista Ultimate.
I’ve recently gained an interest in Wordpress, PHP and website design. I’m hoping to eventually design my own site here.
Additionally, I’ve almost finished designing a .net wrapper for Twitter that I hope to publish to allow other developers interface with Twitter easily. This should be released at the end of July, 2009.
Donations
If you wish to donate to this site, please feel free to use the Paypal Donate button below. As this is a personal project, it can get difficult to manage on my own :) and I would appreciate any assistance.
My WorldMaps
Myworldmaps.net is a site tracking and ranking system which tracks a number of MSDN and technology blogs. I was lucky enough to get an invite for it. Click below to see my stats since May, 2009.
